Del 24 al 27 de Junio
se celebrará en Costa Rica la VII REUNIÓN DE LA RED COCHRANE IBEROAMERICANA, la V
REUNIÓN ANUAL DE LA RED IBEROAMERICANA SOBRE GUÍAS DE PRÁCTICA CLÍNICA Y MEJORA
DE LA CALIDAD DE LA ATENCIÓN SANITARIA (RED IBEROAMERICANA-GPC) y el I CONGRESO
COSTARRICENSE DE BIOÉTICA organizado por la Maestría Inter-Universitaria en
Bioética de la Universidad Nacional y la Universidad de Costa Rica. El anfitrión
académico de la actividad es la Universidad Nacional (UNA), por lo que todos las
actividades se realizarán en el "Campus Omar Dengo" de la Universidad en la
ciudad de Heredia. Así, el tema de la actividad es BIOÉTICA / EVIDENCIA. Se
abordarán los temas de evidencia científica y bioética de la investigación con
seres humanos, así como distribución de recursos sanitarios y la práctica
clínica basada en la evidencia. Habrá un espacio relevante para la voz de los
pacientes. La reunión será un espacio en donde también se incluirán temas
específicos de cada organización en el campo clínico y de política sanitaria. El
análisis de temas de amplia discusión mundial e interés regional estarán sobre
la mesa, tales como: Medicamentos inmunosupresores y transplantes. / Terapia de
reemplazo hormonal, cáncer y riesgo cardiovascular. / Diseño de políticas
sanitaria y evidencia científica, entre muchos otros. Si usted participa tendrá
oportunidad también de asistir a talleres sobre los métodos de la Colaboración
Cochrane, sobre las guías de práctica clínica basadas en la evidencia y sobre la
construcción y uso de revisiones sistemáticas.

From June 24th to the 27th, in Costa Rica, the Inter-University Master´s Program in Bioethics at the National University and the University of Costa Rica will host the 7TH ANNUAL MEETING OF THE IBEROAMERICAN COCHRANE NETWORK, the 5TH ANNUAL MEETING OF THE IBEROAMERICAN CLINICAL PRACTICE GUIDELINES NETWORK AND IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF HEALTH CARE (IBEROAMERICAN NETWORK-CPG), 2ND ANNUAL MEETING OF THE CENTRAL AMERICAN BRANCH OF THE IBEROAMERICAN COCHRANE NETWORK, and the 1ST COSTA RICAN BIOETHICS CONFERENCE. The academic host of this meeting is the National University (UNA) and all activities will be held on its "Omar Dengo Campus" located in the city of Heredia.
The meeting will address topics related to BIOETHICS/EVIDENCE such as
scientific evidence and bioethics as they relate to research involving human
subjects, such as the distribution of health resources and evidence-based
clinical practices. There will be an area that incorporates the voices of
patients in this dialogue. The meeting will also include topics relevant to
organizations in the clinical field as well as health policy. There will be
round-table discussions on a broad range of global issues and those that are
of regional interest, such as: immunosuppressor drugs and transplant
patients; hormone replacement therapy, cancer, and cardiovascular risk;
design of health policy and scientific evidence, among many others. If you
participate, you will have the opportunity to attend workshops on Cochrane
Collaboration methods, evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and the
production and use of systematic reviews.
